People in Action began with a simple belief: that real change starts at the community level. Founded by a group of local leaders and advocates, we set out to create a space where voices from underserved and overlooked communities could be heard, supported, and empowered.
What started as grassroots efforts in Saint Paul has grown into a statewide movement—reaching across Minnesota through youth mentorship, cultural programming, public health outreach, and education initiatives. Our history is rooted in collaboration, lived experience, and a shared vision for a better future.
